
A man has been sentenced for a homicide that occurred in Gretna last summer. James Mattox has been sentenced to 46 years in prison with 20 years for good behavior.
46-year-old Tony Gill was killed in the shooting that occurred at Carter’s Gas Station on July 27. Gill was a teacher at Franklin County High School.
Mattox was found guilty in February on charges of second-degree murder, discharging a firearm in public, causing injury, and firing a weapon from a vehicle.
