Virginia Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Colin Greene says there are no plans to reinstate indoor mask mandates or implement other COVID-19 precautions even though there’s been an increase in cases due to the BA.2 variant. Greene says they will deal with COVID-19 in the way they deal with other disease prevention measures. BA.2 is a derivative of the highly-contagious Omicron variant.
