The City of Danville is providing a bigger tax break on personal use vehicles this year because of the massive valuation increases. The tax relief rate for 2022 will increase from 35% of assessed value to 65%. With the relief rate of 65% the bill on a vehicle with an assessed value of $13,000 will be around $164. At 35 percent, the bill would be almost $305. Bills will be mailed to customers during the first week of May and are due on June 6.
