The Lynchburg Police Department is still looking for a man that is wanted for a homicide that occurred over a week ago. 20-year-old Kejohn McGhee, 20, of Richmond, is wanted on charges of second degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of murder.
McGhee is wanted in connection to a homicide that occurred on May 18 at 8:20 pm to Millwood Apartments at 6224 Old Mill Rd. 22-year-old Daysun Wilson, of Halifax, was transported by personal vehicle to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
Through the initial investigation, LPD detectives determined the victim and suspect in this case were known to each other. During an altercation between the two, McGhee produced a handgun and shot Wilson.
McGhee’s whereabouts are currently unknown. He is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. LPD is actively working with regional law enforcement partners to locate McGhee.
