An 11-year-old boy was severely injured in an ATV accident that occurred in Rockingham County on Monday. According to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday afternoon, deputies responded to Price Grange Road in Stoneville for an ATV accident.

Reportedly at the time of the accident there were several children riding in a trailer that was being pulled by an ATV, when one of the children was thrown from the trailer. The 11-year-old boy suffered a fractured skull and has bleeding on the brain. He is currently unresponsive.

Authorities are still investigating to determine what caused the accident.
