A four-year old from Halifax County has died following a crash in Charlotte County on Monday. Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 6:20 am on Monday at the intersection of Kings Highway (Route 360) and Jeb Stuart Highway (Route 92) in Charlotte County.

A Honda Accord was travelling eastbound on Route 360 when it was struck by a Honda CRV that was heading northbound on Route 92. The Honda CRV failed to stop at a stop sign that is located at the intersection on Route 92.

A four-year old female passenger and a 46-year-old female passenger  in the Accord suffered serious, life-threatening injuries. The four-year old succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday at the hospital. Both victims are from Halifax County.

The driver of the Accord and the driver of the CRV suffered minor injuries.
