The Southern Virginia Regional Alliance (SVRA) will host a special briefing luncheon on Tuesday, May 6, 2026, exploring the growing role of data center campuses in southern Virginia. The event is designed for community leaders seeking a balanced education of data center development—including site selection, construction considerations, and the opportunities and challenges these projects bring to the region.
The program will feature expert-led discussion and panels with Vince Barnett of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP). The keynote address will be delivered by Elizabeth Rafferty, Director of Government Affairs at Hunton Andrews Kurth, LLP, who will speak on the Data Center Coalition and its significance to Virginia. Other speakers will included leaders and consultants from STACK Infrastructure, TRACT, AEP, Mecklenburg County, Wythe County and H&P.
Attendees are welcome to join the full program or attend lunch only.
