
Update: A man wanted for a home invasion has been taken into custody. Daniel Hunter Martin was taken into custody by authorities on Tuesday night.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man wanted in connection to a home invasion. Deputies have obtained warrants for 33-year-old Daniel Hunter Martin and are actively attempting to locate him and take him into custody.
On Sunday, a home invasion and theft were reported in the Whip-O-Hills subdivision located in the area of Longhook Rd. and Harrington Highway in Eden. An extensive search in the area was conducted by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, NC State Highway Patrol, and Eden Police Department but the suspect was not apprehended.
Further investigation led to information as to the suspects identity which later led to the obtaining of arrest warrants and a search warrant being executed at 550 Eden Church Rd in Madison, the residence of Daniel Hunter Martin. However, Martin was not located at the residence.
Martin is at this time entered NCIC (National Crime Information Center) as wanted. Martin has warrants for Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering, Possession of Firearm by Felon, and Felony Larceny of a Firearm.
Martin is a white male 6 ft. tall, 190 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes and may be armed. Anyone with any information on Daniel Hunter Martin’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact 911, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office at 336-634-3232, or Crimestoppers at 336-349-9683.
