The City of Danville has been named a finalist for the 2024 All-American City Award. The National Civic League announced the 20 finalists on Thursday. Danville has previously won the award twice in 1977 and 2020.

Finalists were selected after a competitive review process based on the criteria of shared vision, civic engagement, inclusiveness and equity, collaboration, innovation, and impact. Each finalist submitted a robust application discussing the strengths of their civic capital and providing examples of three community-driven efforts that have adapted and transformed the community.

The winner of the All-American City Award will be announced at the 75th Annual All-American City Award and Event July 7-9 in Denver, CO.
