A crash Monday in Martinsville was the result of brake failure. Police tell the Bulletin the driver was heading southbound on Oakgrove Avenue when he realized the brakes weren’t working. The vehicle went airborne at the end of Oakgrove and came to rest in a wooded area. The driver was unhurt but according to officers was “pretty shaken up”. He was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
