The Eden Chamber of Commerce’s former Executive Director takes a plea deal to embezzlement chatges. According to News 2 Jennifer Marie Barton pleaded guilty to 7 counts of felony larceny by employee and obtaining property by false pretense. Barton received a sentence of between a year ro nearly 3 years. The theft was discovered by the Chamber’s board last summer and the investigation founed Barton took close to $25,000 dating back to 2020. She has since made restitution.
