The Danville Life Saving Crew is urging people to wear a life vest when in or on the water after an 11-year-old boy died Tuesday while swimming in the Dan River. Authorities say the boy swam underwater but never resurfaced. The Crew’s Bryan Fox oversaw the rescue operation and tells News 10 people need to be always conscious and cautious because situations can change quickly.
