God’s Pit Crew is set to soon celebrate 25 years of disaster response efforts with their annual Benefit Banquet scheduled for March 21 – 23, 2024. The three-night event highlights the efforts of the faith based, non-profit ministry and spotlights the stories of restoring hope and restoration to numerous areas and families devastated by major disasters. With three dates to choose from, those looking to purchase a ticket can choose which night they would like to attend, as all three nights will feature the same productions.
As the ministry prepares to celebrate their silver, quarter-century milestone, they urge others to join the celebration on one of the March dates to experience what the organization is all about: delivering hope, healing, and restoration to hurting people in times of disaster. By purchasing a ticket and attending the special event, supporters are helping that mission continue. Ticket sales and donations provided during the event play a crucial role in the organization’s ability to continue growing and utilizing its areas of help – including disaster response, rebuilding homes, and providing life sustaining items to those who need them most – throughout the year.
“God’s Pit Crew is honored to be the hands and feet of extending hope, healing, and restoration to hurting people, but everyone who donates and supports our mission is the reason that we can do what we do – and we definitely couldn’t do it without each of them,” shared Randy Johnson, President of God’s Pit Crew.
Those in attendance can expect to hear first-hand, extraordinary stories of destruction from survivors of major disasters, and how hope was restored to them through the efforts of God’s Pit Crew. The event will also feature moving musical accompaniments, a look back at milestone moments throughout the last 25 years, and much more.
“This event is an awesome way to see what our Danville-based ministry truly is all about and what we do with all those red trucks and buckets,” encouraged Johnson. “We would love to have as many people as possible come celebrate and worship with us!”
The annual Benefit Banquet is open to anyone interested in attending and will be held at The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, located at 150 Slayton Avenue, Danville, Virginia 24540. Tickets include attendance for one night of the event, a plated meal and dessert, and are priced at $62.50 each. Tables seating eight people – perfect for company outings and large parties – are also available for reservation and priced at $500. All funds raised go to support ministry programs.
