Average gas prices across Virginia are down by six cents from two weeks ago to $2.94 a gallon, while the average price of gas across the country is down by a nickel to $3.07 a gallon.

The average price of gas in Danville is down by four cents to $2.81, while the average price in Pittsylvania County is up by two cents to $2.91 a gallon. In Martinsville the average price dropped by a penny to $2.87, while in Henry County the average price is down by four cents to $2.87.

Average prices in Halifax County are down by eight cents to $2.87 a gallon.
