A man wanted for a Henry County homicide has been taken into custody. 29-year-old Ka’darius Ferrell has been arrested for the murder of 23-year-old Jadakuis Tysean Mitchell.

Ferrell was taken into custody during a traffic stop early Thursday morning on Kings Mountain Rd.

Deputies responded to a residence on Tenth Street in Fieldale on Tuesday at 4:45 pm. Once on scene deputies found Mitchell suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital and was pronounced dead.

The two men got into a fight over a woman after Mitchell arrived at the residence. Ferrell then produced a firearm and shot Mitchell.

Ferrell is facing charges of second degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and discharging a firearm within a dwelling.
