A Danville man has been arrested following an armed robbery at a Pittsylvania County Grocery Store. On Thursday the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Christopher R. Harris for the armed robbery that occurred on June 28 at the Food Lion at Market Square.

Harris was located and arrested in the City of Danville by Investigators from this office and the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Virginia State Police and Danville Police Department. He is being held under no bond and more charges are pending.

Harris allegedly robbed the store at gunpoint in the amount of $1,300.
