The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an online harassment threat against a minor. Deputies responded to Chatham Middle School on Monday after learning of the incident and determined another minor violated Virginia’s law for harassment via computer. It’s not clear of that individual was taken into custody but a petition was issued against that minor for the violation. The Juvenile Intake Office is now handing the matter.
