When the Danville City Council meets tonight they will consider increasing the income cap for the the real estate tax exemption program available to the elderly and those permanently disabled. According to the Register & Bee the council may raise the income limit to $30,000 from $20,000. If approved it will provid a 100% exemption for qualifying applicants with an annual income up to $15,000 and a 50% exemption on income between $15,001 and $30,000.
