DANVILLE, Va. – A fifth COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Danville Public Schools in less than a week.
The latest involve faculty members Gibson Elementary School and at Galileo Magnet High School, the second case at Galileo this week.
School officials learned of the second COVID-19 case at Galileo Magnet High School on Friday, but said there’s no connection to a previous positive test earlier in the week.
Galileo just completed the second week of in-person instruction on Friday. Parents of students have been notified of the infections.
