HENRY COUNTY, Va. – A Bassett man is being sought in a domestic incident that sent a woman to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. 57-year-old Sanford Gregory Millner has been charged with malicious wounding and is being sought by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office in the shooting.

Just before midnight Saturday, authorities were called to Blossom Street in Bassett where they found 46-year-old Brenda S. Turner with a gunshot wound to the head. When deputies arrived, Turner was coherent. She was air-lifted to the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. Her condition was not available.

Investigators say a domestic altercation at their home on Blossom Street led to the shooting.
