DANVILLE, Va. – A Danville grand jury indicted Tony Wayne Mayo, Jr., and Devin Lamont Womack Monday, June 22, for the murder of Mark Anthony Graves.

Danville Police responded to a call of shots fired at a house in the 1300 block of Aspen Street Sept. 30, 2016, at about 10 a.m. They found Graves (47) inside the house suffering from a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives continued to follow leads in this case and worked closely with the Commonwealth’s Attorney Office in order to bring these charges.

Mayo (24) and Womack (28) are both from Danville and they had a connection with Graves at the time; this was not a random act. The grand jury indicted each man with first-degree murder, robbery and two counts of the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Womack is being held in the Danville City Jail and Mayo in the Martinsville City Jail each without bond.
