The Danville City Council decides to not follow a recommendation from the Airport Commission and keeps the aircraft personal property tax rate unchanged. According to the Star-Tribune the commission called for an increase from 30-cents to 69-cents per $100 in value. City Transportation Director Mark Adelman says even with the increase the tax rate is lower than nearby counties and municipalities.
Had the increase passed it would have generated just over $28,000 in revenue.
