Halifax County High School is currently under a lockdown. The lockdown began late Tuesday morning and has not been lifted at this time.

No one has been allowed to enter or leave the campus since the lockdown began. Details about what caused the lockout have not been released at this time.

The matter is being investigated by the South Boston Police Department.
