Average gas prices across Virginia are up by a nickel to start the week at $3.95 a gallon, according to AAA, while the average price of gas across the county rose by seven cents this week to $4.11.

The average price of gas in Danville is up by eight cents this week to $3.82, while the average in Pittsylvania County is up by three cents this week to $3.92 a gallon. The average price in Martinsville climbed up by 20 cents this week to $3.96 a gallon and in Henry County the average price rose by 12 cents to $3.92 a gallon. The average price in Halifax County is up by a nickel this week to $3.90 a gallon.
