"This is my daughter—one of the few women out there welding and proving every single day that she belongs. She didn’t get here by chance. She earned it with grit, long hours, and a work ethic that doesn’t quit. She is only 25 years old and has accomplished so much at such a young age and I am so very proud of her.
She works in a field dominated by men and stands her ground with skill, determination, and pride in what she does. Welding isn’t just a job to her—it’s who she is. And she’s damn good at it.
She and her husband both live this life, traveling wherever the work takes them. That means missed holidays, missed family time, and working 7 days a week for months straight without complaint. While most people are clocking out, she’s just getting started.
But what makes me proud isn’t just how hard she works—it’s who she is. She’s kind, generous, and has a heart bigger than most. She shows up for people the same way she shows up for her job—fully and without hesitation.
She doesn’t ask for recognition—but she’s earned it. Every mile, every long shift, every sacrifice… she’s built this life with her own two hands. And that’s exactly why she deserves to be recognized."

"My father is an 82yr old US Marine Veteran who not only served his country but retired from the medical field as an xray technician after 60 years. His mobility is becoming limited as he gets older but he still mows his neighbors yards when they have surgery or helps out around the neighborhood as needed. He doesn't let anything slow him down. He has always worked his entire life and always believed in helping others. "

" Tyler dedicates himself to a hard working lifestyle. While working full time as a refrigeration maintence technician, mobile RV repair business owner, and part time mechanic- Tyler has updated and done 100% of our repairs at home. He never hesitates to help a friend in need. The BDC gift card would help take some of the burden off of replacing our decking boards, so that when he gets a chance he can relax on the back porch! Thank you! "

"My blue-collar person deserves this because of how hard he works to take care of us. He wakes up early, comes home tired, and still finds the energy mom to be there for the people he loves. He doesn’t complain—he just keeps going. It would mean so much to surprise him with something just for him for once.”

"Gary is the hardest working man I know. Not because he says it, and not because he seeks recognition—but because he lives it, every single day. Hard work isn’t a choice for him; it’s simply who he is. He has spent his life learning every trade he could—carpentry, construction, plumbing, electrical, renovations, and farming. From building foundations to finishing roofs, from raising animals to fixing what others can’t, he shows up and gets it done without hesitation.
He works seven days a week and measures his days not by money made, but by effort given. His words are always the same: “I’m going to sleep good tonight because I worked hard today.” And he means it.
What stands out most is that he cannot walk away when someone needs help. When others overcharge or take advantage, Gary steps in. Not for credit, but because he can’t stand to see someone struggle or be treated unfairly. He gives more than he should, more than most would, because that’s just how he’s built.
If there’s a softer side to him, that’s on me—his wife. I’m the one who sees it, who knows how much he carries and how deeply he cares, even when he doesn’t say it. He won’t ever tell his own story this way, but I will. This photo is my favorite! Our pet steer and my husband. After a long day, mentally and physically draining... he still made his rounds feeding the animals and sharing this sweet moment.
We recently were blessed with our 1st home purchase! Gary worked 12 hrs a day 7 days a week to make sure we made it to the closing table. I have never seen such dedication in my life. Men like Gary don’t come around often, and I’m proud to stand beside him, he is very deserving of this gift card, because I know he will be using it to keep helping our community and working hard. "
