The Pittsylvania County School Board has signed off on a budget draft of nearly $126.7 million for the upcoming fiscal year. The budget was approved based on the Virginia General Assembly budget that was approved in February.

The budget includes a five percent salary increase for employees as well as a step if employees are due one. The budget also includes the addition of athletic trainers, middle school sports, several construction projects for maintenance, software updates,  and an increase in sick leave payouts for VRS employees.

The public hearing for the school board budget will be held on March 25th at 6 pm in the School Board Office.
