The Danville Police Department is investigating a traffic fatality that occurred in the 1000 block of Piney Forest Road just before 5:40 pm on Thursday.

A 2014 GMC truck driven by a 36-year-old male struck Danville resident Roman Gregory Fedorciw, 71, who was in the roadway and transported from the scene. Fedorciw was pronounced dead after being transported.

Motorists can expect delays in travel along Piney Forest Rd. as the investigation is ongoing.
