The Danville Fire Department rescued a dog from a house fire on Friday night. Crews responded to the fire at 188 Noel Ave at 5:05 pm to find smoke and fire coming from the windows on two ends of the house.

An interior attack was made by crews as well as a search to confirm no one was in the structure. Danville Fire Department responded with three engines, a ladder truck, a Safety Officer and a Battalion Chief along with Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Police Department and Utilities Department.

The home sustained heavy fire damage to one of the bedrooms and moderate smoke damage to the rest of the house. The Fire Marshall was called to investigate the cause of the fire. The occupants and their dog will be staying with family.
