A Danville woman celebrated her centennial birthday on Monday and her neighbors got together to throw her a big party. Josephine Oliver celebrated her 100th birthday yesterday at her residence at 319 Lincoln Street in Danville.

Donald Crews organized the celebration and says his church is helping take care of Josephine because she doesn’t have much family in the area. 

“Her mind is good, she’s so grateful,” said Crews, “my church has adopted her so we pitched in to make this happen today and we’re just so grateful to everyone that came out to share with use today.”
