A Danville man was killed after being hit by a car in Halifax County on Tuesday morning. According to Virginia State Police, the incident occurred at 7:16 near Philpott Rd and Piney Grove Rd. The crash involved a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene.

According to the Gazette Virginian, the pedestrian has been identified as 57-year-old Charles Hendrick of Danville. The crash remains under investigation.
