Virginia’s unemployment rate decreased to 2.8% in June according to household survey data released by the Virginia Employment Commission. Close to 14,000 more people found work even though the net number of jobs last month dropped by 2,700. Virginia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate continues to be below the national rate, which was unchanged at 3.6%.
