You will soon be able to choose from 2 new custom Virginia license plates under bills signed into law by Gov. Glenn Youngkin. One of the plates honors the Richmond Planet, a newspaper founded by emancipated men. The other has a design that incorporates the emblem of the United States Navy and is available to active Navy members and other qualified individuals. The plates will be issued after July 1.
