(Danville, Va.) – Charges have been filed against a Danville man who allegedly threw a kitten against a wall after the cat meowed.
The Danville Area Humane Society was notified of the incident Friday and says the animal was left bloodied by the incident.
37-year-old Edward Baker faces one count of animal cruelty. The kitten actually belongs to Baker’s roommate. After reportedly throwing the cat, Baker then started tossing furniture.
Police were called and the man was charged.
The kitten is undergoing treatment by a local veterinarian and is expected to be released to the Humane Society later this week.
