(Danville, Va.) — An early morning accident on West Main Street sent one woman to the hospital after she knocked down a utility pole. Investigators are still at the scene of the single-vehicle wreck, which happened about 4:30 in the 23-hundred block of West Main, near the Old Dutch Supermarket. The silver-blue, 4-door sedan was westbound when the driver lost control and took down a utility pole before glancing another and then crashing head-on into a third pole. She was taken from the scene by the Danville Life Saving Crew. Electric crews are making repairs as Danville Police direct traffic around the accident scene
