(Henry County, Va.) — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says a man who disappeared while walking  near his home last March fell down an embankment and froze to death.

54-year-old Larry Dalton Hinchee left home to exercise shortly after getting off work on the morning of Saturday, March 24 and never returned. His wife reported him missing later that day.

Hinchee’s body was found a week later, about a mile-and-a-half away from his home in a wooded area off of Barrows Mill Road.

Investigators say he had fallen down an embankment and died of hypothermia. The manner of death was an accident.
