National Day of Prayer Service
Fairview Church on Westover Drive is hosting a National Day of Prayer Service and Prayer Vigil on Thursday, May 1. The community prayer service will be at 7:00 a.m. with pastries and coffee available after. The church will be open for a 12 hour prayer vigil following the service from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and spend time in prayer....- Date: May 1, 2025

Bluegrass Benefit Concert
The Hurt Elementary School Beta Club presents a “Bluegrass Benefit Concert featuring Franklin Station”. The concert will be held in the Hurt Elementary School gymnasium on Saturday, May 3rd – 7:00 – 9:00pm. There is a prepaid BBQ dinner prior to the concert beginning at 5:30pm. Law Enforcement Memorial Service
A Law Enforcement Memorial Service will be held at Chatham Baptist Church on Monday, May 12 at 6:00 p.m. The church is located at 12 Court Place in Chatham. The service honors officers killed in the line of Duty in Danville City, Pittsylvania County and Va. State Police. Guest speaker will be Rev. Gerald W. Kelly, Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
