The Danville Police Department together with Danville Public Schools are investigating a threat of violence made against George Washington High School.  The department was made aware by the school system of a post circulating on social media platforms and have since deemed the threat non-credible.

At this time authorities are working to determine the source of the threat and anyone with information is being asked to please come forward.  Anyone having any relevant information can reach out to the Danville Police Department by phone, by calling Crime Stoppers, directly approaching an officer, or by using the crime tips app CARE.
