Pittsylvania County is a step closer to gaining two community solar farm projects now that the County Planning Commission made a recommendation to approve special use permits. According to the Star-Tribune one project is proposed for Mill Creek Road in the Banister District and the other is off U.S. Highway 29 in the Chatham-Blairs District. The Board of Zoning Appeals will now weigh in on the permit approvals.
