Gov. Glenn Youngkin is continuing to call for a suspension of the commonwealth’s gas tax to help lower the price at the pump. Youngkin wants to enact a three-month moratorium of the 26-cent per gallon tariff beginning July 1 then gradually phase it back in over the following 2 months. A Senate committee killed a moratorium during April’s special session and no rebate plan was included in the recently-passed 2-year budget.
