The Virginia Attorney General’s Office convened a working group to consider ways to reduce organized retail crime. Attorney General Jason Miyares tells WDBJ that retail crime can be a gateway to other illegal activities including narcotics dealing and human trafficking. The crime also leads to increased prices for consumers as retailers need to cover losses – and with inflation, more price hikes isn’t a good thing.
