A man from Reidsville takes a plea deal for charges stemming from his role in the January 2021 U.S. Capital riots. According to the U.S. Attorney’s office for the District of Columbia Matthew Mark Wood pleaded guilty to a felony charge of obstruction of an official proceeding and five related misdemeanor offenses. He will be sentenced in September and prosecutors say he could be in jail for over 35 years.
