(Gretna, VA) Just before 11am Wednesday morning a Foster Fuels tanker truck carrying Diesel fuel overturned on Hwy 40.  As a result of the crash all lanes were blocked and the Virginia State Police set up a detour around the scene.

A hazmat team responded to contain the fuel spill that took place because of the crash.  A contract company was also called to respond to remove the remaining fuel from the truck.  The spill was contained at the site.  It was unclear how much fuel leaked out.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
