(Danville, VA) – National signing day for 2020 took place all around the region and country on Wednesday and George Washington High School had several athletes who made commitments to collegiate programs to continue their athletic campaigns.
It was another record year for Coach Nick Anderson’s Eagle Football squad. After four signings last year the class of 2020 improved to five. Before the official signing took place, Coach Anderson addressed the crowd of families, friends and well wishers and talked about the standards the young men of the program were held to throughout their high school career. Students on the Eagle football team are expected to maintain a 3.0 GPA as well as be within good standing with the school system to play. He encouraged younger players and parents to stay involved and express how much the hard work pays off.
