DANVILLE, Va. – Danville Police have made an arrest in a shooting that happened early Tuesday outside Applebee’s on Old Mount Cross Road.

27-year-old Omar Deonte Barbour of Danville was taken into custody and charged with attempted first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and two counts of discharging a firearm at an occupied building.

The 28-year-old victim was grazed by a bullet and did not require hospital treatment.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots outside the restaurant abound 12:30 a.m. Police responded but the shooter was nowhere to be found.

Barbour is currently in the Danville City Jail under no bond.
