LYNCHBURG, Va. – A Danville man will spend much of his life in prison for a string of robberies in Virginia and North Carolina.
Justin Lee Stallings, 23, has been sentenced to 54 years in prison following his conviction in March of seven counts of armed robbery. He was convicted of robberies in Danville, Bedford, Rocky Mount, and North Carolina.
The robberies occurred between December 2016 and February 2017. In each instance, authorities say Stallings entered the store around closing, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.
Stallings was arrested by Caswell County authorities in March of 2017 and charged with robbing the Dollar General Store on NC Highway 86 in Prospect Hill, N.C.. The clerk reported that an armed man entered the store on the night of January 25, 2017 and demanded money.
