HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. – A Richmond man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Halifax County Sunday.

State Police say 21-year-old Terrence Elijah Tyler died after losing control of his car in the 4100 block of Philpott Road.

State troopers responded to a call just before 4 a.m. Sunday. They say Tyler lost control of his Honda Accord. The car swerved and flipped into a ditch. The driver was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene

Police say Tyler wasn’t wearing his seat belt and was found on 58 eastbound near the town of South Boston.

Police say alcohol or drugs were not factors but that the weather may have contributed to the accident.
