DANVILLE, VA — A Reidsville man convicted of a Danville homicide has been sentenced to 33 years in prison.
30-year-old Diarion Davis was sentenced Thursday for the 2018 murder of Arthur Anderson in Danville.
When police arrived in the 200 block of Rocklawn Avenue on May 14, 2018, they found Anderson with a gunshot wound lying in the street. He later died at Sovah Health Danville.
Davis fled to Greensboro, N.C., where he was arrested and returned to Danville to stand trial.
Davis was sentenced in Danville Circuit Court Thursday to 40 years for murder, with 15 years suspended. He also received another eight years for firearms convictions, for a total of 33 years in prison.
