(Danville, Va.) – Danville Police were called to a usually quiet neighborhood early Sunday morning after several shots were fired on Virginia Avenue around 2 a.m.

Neighbors reported that a rowdy party spilled out into the street. One woman had passed out and was treated in the median. She was later taken to SOVAH Health Danville for additional treatment.

Four arrests were made as the partygoers scrambled to leave 340 Virginia Ave. as police arrived. Their names were not available.

Neighbors reported that about a dozen police cars responded and said a noisy party had been held at the same address the previous night.

The shots were fired into the air and no one was injured.

Neighbors said Danville Police remained at the scene until about 4 am Sunday.
