(Pittsylvania County, Va.) – Pittsylvania County investigators say they do not suspect foul play in the death of a Keeling man Sunday afternoon.

The county’s 911 Center received a call from a man who was experiencing difficulty breathing. Emergency crews responded to the 1300 block of Reeves Mill Road in Keeling about 5:30 Sunday afternoon and found a man dead in the yard of the home.

Deputies were called to the scene. Sheriff Mike Taylor said the death is firearms-related but investigators do not suspect foul play. The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of family members.

The body will be taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke to determine the official cause and manner of death.
