(Hurt, Va.) — Three people are dead and two others are wounded following a shooting in the northern end of Pittsylvania County.

Authorities were called to the area of Shula and Blue Ridge Drives in the Hurt community Friday night and found two people wounded. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment.

While investigating the double shooting, deputies went to the 3000 block of Shula Drive in the Hurt community and discovered three people dead in a home. Authorities say they do not know how the three died.

None of the victims’ names has been released at this time.

“The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office considers this an isolated incident and does not see an ongoing threat to the community from this incident,” according to a Pittsylvania County news release.
